Hilaria Baldwin, a 39-year-old mother of seven, revealed that her doctor has repeatedly recommended her husband, Alec Baldwin, to undergo a vasectomy after each childbirth, but he hasn’t gone through with it yet. In an interview with Romper, Hilaria candidly shared that she chooses not to use birth control because it has a negative impact on her mental health, adding that she genuinely adores having babies.
Their large and diverse family includes kids aged from nine months to 10 years old, and they recently welcomed their youngest, Ilaria, in September 2022 through surrogacy. Despite feeling uncertain about having more children, Hilaria hesitated to declare that Ilaria would be their last addition.
Although she doesn’t particularly enjoy being pregnant, Hilaria expressed a deep love for the birthing experience. Still, she admitted to feeling apprehensive about letting go of her maternity clothes, fearing that doing so might lead to another surprise pregnancy.
The Baldwins have garnered attention not just for the size of their family, but also due to other noteworthy events. Alec faced charges related to the death of a cinematographer on the set of his movie “Rust,” but the charges were dropped in April 2023. Meanwhile, Hilaria’s public image and accent have sparked controversy and discussion.
Despite the media spotlight, Hilaria maintains a positive outlook, expressing concern and empathy for those who engage in online bullying. She even hired a private investigator to look into the lives of her most frequent trolls, acknowledging their underlying loneliness and struggles.
Moreover, the family faces challenges with paparazzi, and their older children have developed a fear of them, leading them to sleep together in bunk beds for comfort and security. Hilaria does her best to reassure them, but she acknowledges the difficulty in convincing them that the outside world is safe and free from harm.
