This 9-year-old kid performs Vivaldi’s “Summer” and amazes everyone in the audience…

The rise of reality TV and music competitions globally has brought to light exceptional, undiscovered musical talents. However, the emergence of extraordinary sounds from a 9-year-old violin student was perhaps an unexpected delight.

Meet Soro Lavorgna, a 9-year-old prodigy quickly making a name for herself. Her outstanding performance took center stage during the finals of Prodiges, a French TV talent show judged by cello virtuoso Gautier Capuçon, alongside a star opera singer and dancer.

Prodiges showcases young talents in singing, instruments, and dance, all set to classical music. In the finale, Soro mesmerized the audience with a brilliant rendition of Vivaldi’s ‘Summer,’ as arranged by Max Richter.

During the competition, Judge Capuçon commended her, saying, “You impressed us. You show incredible concentration and determination for your nine years.” Soro’s performance was enhanced by the accompaniment of the Divertimento orchestra, conducted by Zahia Ziouani.

The other two judges, prima ballerina and choreographer Marie-Claude Pietragalla, and world-renowned soprano Julie Fuchs, were equally impressed. Notably, Sora, having started playing the violin at the Cannes Conservatory at the age of four, was the youngest contestant in the competition.

Although she didn’t emerge as the overall winner, losing to 12-year-old ballet dancer Sacha, Soro received well-deserved acclaim for her remarkable performance. Her bright future in the musical realm is evident, showcasing extreme skill and precision on her instrument.

With two hours of daily practice and a genuine love for honing her skills, Sora Lavorgna stands as a promising force in the world of music.
