A mother and her children were strolling along the Clwyd River in Wales when they stumbled upon a bottle catching the sunlight. Initially mistaking it for discarded plastic, the family decided to pick it up, only to discover a hidden message inside.
“We were puzzled and surprised because we realized there was a valuable message inside. For my children, this is a dream, as they found something interesting and can open the container on their own to read the message,” explained Kat.
Rather than opening the bottle on the spot, they carried it home. To their amazement, the letter inside was authored by schoolchildren in the winter of 1985 and was remarkably well-preserved.
According to the message, the students had left the bottle near the settlement of Kloceynog after walking along the reservoir. The letter kindly requested that anyone finding it should contact them via letter or call the number 3019.
Additional details in the letter hinted at the passage of many years. The phone number, consisting of only four digits, indicated a time when numbers were transitioning to five and six digits. The students also mentioned being in the third and fourth grades.
Intrigued by the bottle’s journey over the years, the woman decided to find the original senders. She took to social media, seeking help in locating the individuals who had thrown the bottle into the river.
