Away from the spotlight, the Adelaide native leads a somewhat solitary life. However, her rising prominence has made it challenging for her to keep her intriguing personal life under wraps for an extended period.
Sarah made a notable appearance at the New York premiere of HBO’s “The Heirs” fourth season, where she surprised fans with the eagerly awaited revelation of her pregnancy, marking her first child.
For this star-studded event, the singer adorned herself as Siobhan Roy in a stylish black jumpsuit featuring a flared bodice, a daring cleavage section, and wide slacks. Adding to her ensemble, she wore a shimmering silver jacket with a modest train cascading to the floor.
Completing her look, the actress accessorized with a substantial necklace, diamond earrings, and a ring adorned with glittering stones on her little finger. Sarah opted for a natural makeup look, featuring wine-colored lipstick, while delicate wavy curls framed her face.
Her burgeoning belly was accentuated by her outfit, and she gently cradled it with her hands, marking her first public appearance of the year at 32 weeks into her pregnancy. “This is exciting! I feel great! I’m about two months away from giving birth,” Sarah joyfully reported.
Having joined “The Heirs” in 2018, the Australian actress garnered critical acclaim and an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Interestingly, she chose to announce her pregnancy while filming the fourth and final season of the series. “Not a lot of people actually knew about it because the belly was small at the time,” she explained.
On the red carpet, Sarah was accompanied by her husband, Australian comedian Dave Lawson, 45. The couple’s relationship evolved from friendship, with the turning point occurring during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic. “I was stuck in Melbourne during the start of the pandemic with one of my best friends, and we fell in love.
We’d been friends since 2014, had lived and traveled together, and were always excited to see each other, but we had a completely platonic relationship. We’ve never both been single at the same time. It was an epiphany,” Sarah reflected.
In February 2021, the couple celebrated their love with an intimate wedding, surrounded by family and close friends in the garden of Sarah’s Brooklyn home. Recently, the artist also acquired a new apartment in New York City, marking another chapter in her evolving personal and professional journey.
