James Flores resides in Nuevo León, a state in northeastern Mexico. This man, a father of three from his previous marriage, had decided to tie the knot with a woman he held affection for. As all arrangements were in place, James underwent a change of heart and opted to call off the wedding.
The reason behind this sudden change in behavior was his fiancée’s reluctance to care for his children. James had always hoped to find a loving and nurturing mother figure for his three kids. Eventually, he found a woman willing to marry him.
However, on the brink of their wedding, his young fiancée revealed her unwillingness to take on a motherly role for his children. “If she cannot accept my children, I cannot marry her. Despite my deep affection for her, I cannot make her my wife if she refuses to embrace a maternal role,” James explained on his Facebook page.
James turned to the internet to sell all the wedding arrangements he had made: the venue for 200 guests, beverages, the multi-course menu, and the party favors.
Another couple spotted his ad and purchased everything earmarked for the wedding, allowing James to recoup most of his expenses.
In addition, James shared a video detailing his story, and users shared a range of opinions. Many suggested that he could hire a nanny to look after his children.
