This cute 5-year-old girl performed “Jolene” on “The Ellen Show.” Watch it here!

Prior to her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Violet Burdick had already made a name for herself on the internet. Remarkably, despite her tender age of five, Violet was a talented singer who knew how to captivate her audience.

Violet was raised by her father, Ryan Burdick, a local musician who ensured that music was an integral part of her life from a very young age. Due to his unwavering dedication to music, Violet quickly gained attention for her remarkable singing skills.

Violet’s parents were initially unaware, but her aunt took the initiative to send a video of her singing to the producers of Ellen’s show.

When Ryan received that life-changing call from the show, he was taken aback, but deep down, as the man who had nurtured his daughter’s musical talents, he knew her voice had the potential to become a viral sensation. Before he knew it, the producers of The Ellen Show had booked Violet for an upcoming appearance, offering a national platform for his daughter to showcase her singing skills.

During their appearance on the talk show, Violet and her father expressed their deep admiration for Dolly Parton. They discussed the Imagination Library, which is Dolly’s ambitious endeavor to promote literacy among children. Dolly’s dream has become a reality, with over one million books sent out each month, including a staggering 1,707,049 books distributed in November 2020.

After their conversation, Ellen was eager to witness the young talent’s vocal prowess. What better choice for a song than one of Dolly Parton’s iconic classics? Accompanied by her dad’s guitar strumming, Violet began to sing the lyrics of Parton’s hit, “Jolene.”

Violet left the audience in awe, and her performance video swiftly went viral. But the surprises weren’t over. Following their heartwarming performance, Ellen presented them with an all-expenses-paid vacation to Dollywood in Tennessee.

Now, Ryan is planning to teach Violet to play a musical instrument so she can accompany her own singing. Perhaps one day she’ll make a return to Ellen’s show.

“That’s one of the nice things about the show. They follow up with the young performers and see their progress later on. It’s quite enjoyable,” Ryan commented.
