While he now enjoys great renown on stage and as a participant on the show “The Voice,” a dozen years before his celebrity, he battled tenaciously to survive life’s hardships.
Today, Vianney shines brightly with his talent and has garnered a multitude of admirers. However, in a recent appearance on a show broadcast on France 2, the 32-year-old singer-songwriter opened up about a particularly challenging period in his life.
During that era, when success was still an abstract concept for the singer, he endured an exceptionally trying existence.
Endowed with a strong will, the young man resolved to confront life’s adversities by contending both with external challenges and his internal struggles.
He recounted a bicycle journey to Sweden one October. He had scant clothing and, given that Sweden can be quite cold in October, he endured significant discomfort.
“I lacked warm attire, was penniless, and often went hungry. I suffered greatly and shed nearly a dozen kilograms. Despite all the hardships, I look back on those days with a smile.”
Being deeply religious, Vianney noted, “I prayed fervently, trusting that the Lord would guide me.”
He began to channel his determination into crafting the songs that eventually propelled him to fame.
His life underwent a transformation in 2014 with the release of his first album. Since then, he has consistently enjoyed success, particularly during his recent tour, which brought him immense joy.
In 2016, he entered a relationship with cellist Catherine Rober, and after four years, the young artists tied the knot.
On social media in 2021, Vianney joyfully shared the news of the arrival of his son, Edgar.
The singer decided to take a break from touring for a few years to relish the happiness of his family life.
