This 80-year-old man’s mother checked into the nursing home in order to take care of him…

A mother’s love is boundless.

Ada Keeting, a 98-year-old woman, has gained widespread recognition for her decision to move into the same nursing home as her 80-year-old son, in order to care for him. Her story beautifully exemplifies the enduring power of a mother’s love, even at such an advanced age.

To receive the additional care and assistance he needed, Tom Keating relocated to Moss View care home in Liverpool, UK, back in 2016. In a heartwarming gesture, Ada, his mother, chose to move into the same care home to be close to her eldest child and tend to his needs. They make the most of their time together, engaging in activities like playing games or watching their favorite show, Emmeralde.

Ada and Tom share a special bond, having lived together throughout their lives, with Tom never marrying. Both hail from Wavertree, Liverpool, and they’ve maintained a routine that Ada described. She said, “Every morning, I greet Tom, and every night, I say goodnight to him in his room. I let him know I’ll be downstairs for breakfast.”

Even after all these years, Ada maintains that they remain deeply in love. She recounted how Tom eagerly awaits her return from the hairdresser, and upon her arrival, he greets her with open arms, offering a warm embrace. Their affectionate bond is truly enduring.

Tom, the oldest and only son among Ada’s four children with her late husband Harry, has always been close to his mother. Ada’s daughters, Margi, Barbara, and Janet, sadly passed away at a young age. Ada worked as an assistant nurse, while Tom pursued a career as a painter and decorator until retirement.

The Keating family frequently visits the pair in their care home, and these gatherings can span up to five generations. Ada’s granddaughter, Debi Higham, is a regular visitor and expressed the comfort she feels knowing that her grandma and uncle receive round-the-clock care.

Phillip Daniels, the care home’s manager, expressed their joy in having both Tom and Ada as residents. He described their deep bond as moving and emphasized the care facility’s commitment to ensuring their time together is meaningful. The connection between mother and son is truly unbreakable.

In the accompanying video, you can witness the affectionate exchanges between this devoted mother and son as they discuss their daily routine.
