Leni celebrated her 19th birthday on May 4th, and she had planned to take the day off to spend it with her mother, Heidi. The pair started their special day with a shopping trip on Manhattan’s west side.
Heidi, the 49-year-old supermodel, chose a casual outfit for the family outing, wearing a black T-shirt, velour jacket, and a beige caracool hat. Leni, the actress’s daughter, was dressed in a black sweatshirt and a leather jacket. Both mother and daughter donned dark sunglasses to maintain a low profile.
The former Victoria’s Secret model and her daughter posed for a photograph on a bustling New York City street, appearing content and relaxed during their birthday celebration.
To mark the occasion, the mother of many children allowed Leni to temporarily break the ban on alcohol until she reaches adulthood. Both Heidi and Leni enjoyed a plastic cup of a champagne-like beverage.
Heidi Klum captioned the photo with “Leni Klum Day. Born in the Big Apple 19 years ago” and added the hashtag “Time flies when you’re having fun.”
Upon returning home, a birthday cake adorned with Leni’s initials awaited her. For the occasion, Leni changed into a more festive outfit, donning a white jumpsuit with exposed shoulders and a large gold chain around her neck. She posed at the holiday table with pink balloons in her hands.
Leni is Heidi Klum’s child with Italian tycoon Flavio Briatore, and the supermodel ended her relationship with him before Leni’s birth. Heidi and artist Seal share three children together: 17-year-old Henry, 16-year-old Johan, and 13-year-old Lou.
Heidi places great importance on her relationship with her eldest daughter, and they have collaborated on multiple fashion photoshoots. Klum was recently named as the face of the Intimissimi brand’s advertising campaign, and she even modeled lace lingerie sets alongside her husband, Tom Kaulitz’s stepdaughter.
The photoshoot received mixed reactions from the public, with some finding it inappropriate, while others accused Heidi of nepotism and considered it embarrassing and shameful. However, Leni does not engage with the criticism and is proud to work alongside her talented mother.
