Katy Perry reflects on the year of her breakup with Orlando Bloom as a time of both difficulty and growth…

In 2016, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom started their relationship. The actor first flirted with the singer at the Golden Globes after-party, where they were initially spotted together.

They were subsequently photographed by paparazzi at various events, including concerts, festivals, and vacations. However, in the spring of 2017, they unexpectedly parted ways.

A year later, Katy and Orlando gave their relationship another chance, and within a year, they became engaged. In late summer 2020, they welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove.

Katy Perry reflects on the year she and Orlando Bloom initially separated, describing it as both challenging and transformative. She shared her experiences during a podcast with comedian Chelsea Handler.

“We broke up, and that was the most difficult year of my life, not just because of the relationship but also due to significant personal changes. My beliefs and perspectives shifted dramatically. However, it became an opportunity for personal growth,” Katy explained.

The couple now also seeks guidance from a therapist to navigate their relationship.

“Orlando and I participate in family therapy, which we appreciate because it’s effective. Despite our constant public attention, we need to maintain a sense of normalcy in our lives, where we are parents.

In our private world, we aim to be different from our public personas. Therapy has been instrumental in our success as a couple,” Katy added.
