A Down Syndrome dancer brought the house down on The Greatest Dancer with his spectacular movements. Andrew, 21, was born with Down Syndrome but has made the most of his life. As a child, he would stand in front of the television and imitate the dance routines from the British dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing.
Andrew enjoys performing ballet, modern, and ballroom dances, therefore he decided to compete in The Greatest Dancer. On this show, dancers of all ages and genres fight for cash prizes and the chance to be on Strictly Come Dancing.
The show’s structure is that the dancer first performs hidden behind a wall, then the audience votes on their audition. The mirrored-wall opens and the dancer progresses to the next round if the dancer receives more than 75% of the audience vote.
Andrew was at the top of his game when he started dancing to Justin Timberlake’s ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling,’ and astonished the judges and crowd with his incredible dance skills and precision. It was so excellent that judge Cheryl fell into tears because Andrew and his passion for dance impacted her.
