The couple decided to commemorate their 70th wedding anniversary in a unique style only after 70 years.
Their granddaughter is a wedding photographer, and she offered to hold a photoshoot for her grandparents that they were unable to accomplish for their wedding.
This opportunity made the pair very pleased. Nancy dressed in her bridal gown, which she had meticulously saved, while Melvin dressed in his military uniform.
They both seemed to enjoy the shoot, as seen by the images; they smiled often and looked at each other with the same warmth as before.
The photographs were taken in their home’s garden.
The photos show that they really appreciate the years spent together.
Nancy’s wedding dress was in excellent condition, and the old woman looked amazing in it.
“I kept my dress for many years because it was special to me.
I loved it.
It was very nice to put it on again and remember the wedding day and take pictures,” the woman shared.
“I am honored to be her husband,” Melvin said.
Melvin really liked the photoshoot.
When he saw his wife in her wedding dress, the memories came flooding back instantly.
The couple had five children, 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
They mentioned that the secret to a happy marriage is to always respect each other, even when you disagree.
