Esther Anderson, the mother of the popular parenting blog Story of This Life, has recently given birth to her second child. Having an infant at home isn’t easy, as every parent knows. But what about having an infant and a toddler? Kiss those 8-hour sleep nights goodbye!
Despite having her hands full, Esther has one important advantage in this situation: big sister Ellia likes her baby sister! Not only that, but she adores her. Some big siblings struggle to adjust when Mom and Dad bring home a newborn, but little Ellie adores her baby sister, Tessa.

Ellia is cranky after she wakes up from a nap in the video. She walks into the living room, where Esther is sitting on the couch with Tessa, already in tears before she ever reaches Mom. “It’s going to be a long day.” Mom heaves a sigh. “It’d already been a long night.”
Ellia’s expression changes entirely when she sees Tessa. Ellie is definitely smitten, resting her head on Baby Sis’s chest and tenderly stroking her cheek. “I’m in love with her!” Ellia informs her mother.
