A single decision can make or destroy a pivotal moment in our lives.
Segarcea, Romania is a small village of roughly 8,000 people… As a result, when one of their own was in danger, crowds flocked to the scene to assist. A toddler had fallen into an exposed pipe in the ground that was too narrow for an adult to get through. As rescuers desperately attempted to expose the pipe with heavy machinery and shovels, a 12-year-old child unexpectedly stepped up and volunteered for the dangerous rescue mission.
As they lowered the youngster headfirst into the pitch-black, small cage, his feet were fastened to a rope.
After a few seconds of trepidation, the young guy was hoisted off the ground while holding to the toddler’s garments. A desperate father snatched the toddler from his savior, kissed him, and rushed him to the hospital, where he fully recovered in a matter of days.
Who knows what would have happened if it hadn’t been for this brave child.
