It’s a shame if you don’t like the song “Uptown Funk.” It’s one of those songs you hear everywhere, a pleasant tune to which people enjoy dancing. The music is so strong that even cats — yes, cats — can’t stop themselves from dancing to it!

“Uptown Funk” is one of the most popular songs of the recent decade. Bruno Mars, an American vocalist, and Mark Ronson, a British record producer, spent months crafting a unique blend of Trinidadian rap, 1980s pop music, and Minnesota funk. This was a “brave return to the electro-funk of the early ’80s,” according to Slate Magazine.

Meanwhile, Rolling Stone described the song’s writers as “channeling the days when brags weren’t humble and disco wasn’t vintage,” adding that “Mars’ vocal keeps things light and bubbly, making Uptown Funk the kind of tune you’ll be impossible to escape on the radio in a matter of days.” The song lasted 14 weeks at the top of the Billboard Top 100 list, making it one of the best-selling songs of all time. The music video for “Uptown Funk” has approximately 3 billion (billion with a b) views on YouTube.

There’s an adorable tabby kitten who can’t get enough of “Uptown Funk.” Whenever the song starts playing, Winnie busts out all the right moves, bobbing her head, and when things really get intense, throwing in some paw moves. This kitten seems particularly inspired when Bruno declares, “I’m so hot.”
