The Moroccan Desert was home to these unique kittens for the first time. Sand Cats have been discovered before, but their kittens have always managed to avoid being filmed.
Sand cats are one of the few unusual species that live in Morocco’s deserts. Because they were designed with coatings that fit in perfectly with the arid landscape around them, they are extremely difficult to spot.
This footage of sand kittens was caught by Panthera, a global organization dedicated to the conservation of wild cats. Because they are so difficult to see, they believe this is the first time they have ever been recorded.
