Mama cat raises 5 cute kittens with grandma cat’s help

Barbra Sundquist volunteered at a local cat rescue organization. A stray cat was reported by a custodian of industrial property on Vancouver Island, Canada. The pregnant female cat had appeared on their property.

Sundquist decided to adopt the cat and found it a loving home. After the pasta, she named her cat Cannelloni. The cat was first afraid of her new owner. When Sundquist tried to go close to her, she would hiss.

When a cat is pregnant, she becomes more hormonal and protective. Sundquist would sit on the floor and read a book or watch a movie to acclimate Cannelloni to her presence.

Cannelloni quickly learned to love her foster mother. The cat gave birth to five babies two weeks after arriving at her foster home. Sundquist named all of the kittens after different types of pasta, similar to how she named the mama cat Cannelloni.

Ravioli, Penne, Gemelli, Gnocchi, and Trenette were the names given to the five kittens. After the cat had delivered all of the babies, she was assisted by someone unusual. Bella Cannelloni was Cannelloni’s mother.

Bella was absolutely adorable. Sundquist knew this would be of great help for Cannelloni to have her mom helping her with the little ones. The grandma cat took care of the kittens instantly. Soon the kittens found new homes and left with their families.

The mama cat still lived at her foster home. Sundquist could pet her, but she wasn’t sure if Cannelloni wanted to be adopted. The foster mom knew that it would be hard for the cat to adjust indoors. Hence, Sundquist found a family with a barn. They would let the cat come and go as she pleases. The foster mom believes helping the scared cat and giving her a second chance at a safe life is pretty rewarding.
