Kayla Sullivan swapped in her work as a television news reporter after the birth of her first kid for one of the most difficult jobs on the planet: full-time motherhood! You can take the woman out of the newsroom, but you can’t take the newsroom out of the woman, as the saying goes. When you’re a reporter, you’re always a reporter!
Kayla felt that the best way to find some humor in the situation was to do what she does best and report on the story after a particularly distressing trip to her local Olive Garden. She got dressed, put on some lipstick, and styled her hair before grabbing a plastic toy microphone and delivering a “stand up” much like she did on the evening news. Instead of covering illegal activities, she focused on her son’s public outburst about “chechup.”
“My son is a 2-year-old terrorist who kidnapped me at the Olive Garden earlier today,” she said, her voice excellent for a newscaster. Her delivery is bang on, and every parent can relate to her experience in the restaurant! So far, the video has been viewed over 3.1 million times, and Kayla is releasing updates as quickly as she can.
