We can see the wonder of a newborn infant recognizing her mother on their first meeting in this video. Brenda Coelho de Souza had her daughter at the Santa Monica Hospital.
The small infant clings to her mother’s cheek with a tiny arm, nuzzling into the other side of her mother’s face. Brenda is speaking gently to the infant, which looks to be soothing her as she clutches her mother.
Mom called her baby Gata, and she appears to be kissing her mother’s cheek while the medical team looks on in awe. “It was a beautiful moment when my daughter touched me for the first time,” Brenda, an administrative assistant, said.
When a child is born, it is one of the most emotionally satisfying times in a parent’s life. When Moms and Dads see and hold their brand-new children for the first time, it is a life-changing experience.
