At 23:10, Silva da Lima, the twins’ mother, arrived at the hospital with contractions.
She needed a cesarean section for medical reasons.
The woman was immediately sent to the operating room, where they helped the kids and the mom.
Baby Gabriela was born on December 31, 2019, at 23:58, with a weight of 2,460 kg and a height of 47 cm, and her younger brother Rian – exactly 3 minutes later – 2,860 kg and 49 cm, but already in 2020.
The children were born at 35 weeks of pregnancy, and because of this, they were observed in the hospital for another week.
Doctors say that such birth of twins is very rare.
